Walking Along Sydney’s North Shore

On Saturday, we wandered around the North Shore of Sydney, which felt super friendly, a bit sleepy, but most of all very pretty.

Loads of photos of our walk, starting here:

We followed the Loney Planet suggested walk, which took us from the Neutral Bay ferry stop to the Taronga Zoo ferry stop, through Cremorne and Mosman and other assorted gorgeous places. The Cremorne Reserve was simply stunning; the most beautiful views of the city, opera house, and the bridge…but we only saw one other pair of tourists! I guess it’s a bit off the beaten path; a haven for locals, or rather, the locals that can affort to live there.

This walk also started our mini-theme for the weekend: swing sets with a view! So many little beach- and harbor-side parks, each with their own swing set perfectly oriented so it feels like you could just swing off into the water.  Wheee!
